Kimchi fried rice is pretty easy if you have kimchi. Also if you have the pastes, any brothy soup can be made koreanish with ease :)
I like to chuck an onion, some leek, garlic, and chopped cabbage in a pot with water and korean pastes. nomnom

Ohh thanks. I am running low on gochujang, I got doenjang for the first time the other week and I don't have gochugaru. So basically I have to go to the shop π
any other paste I should have?

Making kimchi is great fun and can be easily scaled up and down. But you do need κ³ μΆκ°λ£¨ to make it. In terms of pastes, doenjang and gochujang are the only ones you really need. I need to see if any of the supermarkets selling the pastes are still open, no luck at tesco :(
