I found the print book very hard to get through because it felt exceedingly preachy and almost like a contrived acceptance test document. Is the audio book easier to stomach?

I haven’t listened to it, this came up in discussion during our book club at work this week. I found the tone annoying to begin with too. I think you just have to suck it up.

For once, I mostly listened to the Audible version. There were a couple of times like that, but overall it was better than reading it, I think.
