lol I spent the whole day desperately trying to set up teamcity and a maven server and at some point I just got so frustrated that I deleted the whole thing impulsively and so now the whole day was a waste haha nice

the funny thing is that my whole reason for doing this was "I understand the build/publish process so well when using nuget, so I really want to figure out how to do it when using gradle/maven haha this should be fun"

I wish java just had built-in dependency management, I really don't understand why it doesn't

seriously if you move from doing something with java to doing something with .net in c#, all of a sudden, everything just works and is done for you automatically and everything that literally everybody needs doesn't have to be made by everyone individually oh my GOd

basically this is my experience with going back to java summed up in one tweet

Replying to @Ellpeck
It's a very common experience when people are used to modern language ecosystems and then have to encounter older systems. E.g. someone used to C# going to C++ or C. Imagine how bad it is for someone used to C# / Rust / etc, who then has to go back to assembler :D
