Hi fellow rust users I have some issues with my Linux machine, and now need to start my gui session through tty2 and manual startx At the same time, my rustup shims somewhat broke and i had to manually add ~/.cargo/bin to my PATH my question: how are the two related, if at all?

To clarify, I'm interested in how rustup handle this without going through the hassle of modifying my PATH because this is genuinely interesting shamelessly tagging @yaahc_

thanks for answering ! My question wasn't to fix this issue (which i guess is a mix of nvidia prop drivers and mismatching gnome versions and stuff) but to get how rustup did that, and i didn't know about other place where path is sourced !
