TFW you're writing a document speculating how a device you've bought ought to work, and you end up with a pile of "TODO: Check if the device actually does this" because you realise you were writing what *you'd do* rather than documenting the status quo.

It gets worse when you write the word "clobber" a number of times, and realise each time it implies the potential for important data being lost.
