Dunno, I mean, I run my 5k in the morning, I don't eat breakfast, I have a pint of squash an hour before the race. I pick someone to follow, and then if I think I can, I try and pick someone in front of them after a while, etc.

Also I cycle to the park, so I use that as my warmup, but I do some stretches before the race too. Nothing terribly secret :D

Haha, I was kidding. Just a way of saying I'm very impressed by you :-) but thanks for the advice. When I run in the morning I feel slower than in the afternoon, although I usually prefer doing it in the morning. I had some light breakfast today to see if it would help.
