1. How are you doing? -> How are you feeling?
2. What do you do? -> So, how do you spend most of your time?
3. Do you like it? -> How does it make you feel?
4. Do you have hobbies? -> What do you love to do for fun?

100% yes. I've been trying to use "How are you feeling?" more recently, and it has improved the quality of responses and subsequent converstion dramatically.
