We often hear the words "Full Stack" bandied around when referring to a developer's skills. But what does it really mean to you? For me, "Full Stack" says someone's capable of working from the schematics of a computer, through to something like a web-UI, and everything between.

Pre-bootloader (where necessary) up through kernel, then applications in low-level languages (C, C++ etc.), scripting languages, web technologies, basic functional UIs (if not pretty ones), and APIs.

But where does "backend" start and/or finish? Also "frontend" ? Does that include browser developers? it's such an awful term.
