ok so uml class diagrams, right, the arrows that you draw to indicate that a class is an extention of another class. why are they the way that they are. why are they not the other way around. it would make so much more sense.

it's like "this class inherits all of this", so surely the arrow should point FROM the super class TO the subclass

this is making me go mentally crazy every time I see a uml class diagram. I just can't wrap my head around why they designed it like this

It sucks, but if you read the arrow as "is a" then it makes a lot more sense.
