I finished and latex'd an entire Math assignment all by myself today, without the help of my super smart coursework partner. I now feel really accomplished and awesome. Until he points out my mistakes, of course :^)

Given how horrific LaTeX can be, that's impressive work. (and yes, I know LaTeX can be nice :-)

it's not about latex, it's about the actual mathematical solutions :p Copying them into latex's format is easy lol

How else would you collectively do big Math things? Word is awesome for doing quick stuff, but it becomes insanely laggy after a couple pages of formulas.

I wouldn't be using Word for that kind of thing, I agree. I guess it has been sufficiently long since I had to do big mathsy things that I've forgotten how :-)

I've been using LaTeX for all of my assignments and projects this semester. It's more programmer-y, but the upside is that you get *full* control. Insert an image in word: Document is unfixable. Insert an image in LaTeX: after scaling, all looks perfect.

LaTeX just makes me sad with all its backslashes and {}s and complaints about overfull \hboxs
