They are so kind towards their newcomers: "Even though compiler errors can be frustrating, they only mean your program isn’t safely doing what you want it to do yet; they doΒ notΒ mean that you’re not a good programmer! Experienced Rustaceans still get compiler errors."

I love how the compiler often says "Maybe you want to do $foo" in response to errors. And yes, the assumption of wanting git is brilliant. I often use the compiler errors as a guide to how finished my code is. When it no longer errors the compiler, it's often done and working.
