My phone does have an active internet connection. It even shows the stupid "WhatsApp Web is active" notification. Stupid piece of shit app.

Every time this happens, I wonder why there are people that decide that their messaging app of choice should be WhatsApp, despite the existence of apps that are so much better. Heck, even Discord would be better than this.

It's very annoying that we're forced into these communication enclaves which don't interoperate. I have similar issues with Discord vs. Slack vs. Gitter vs. IRC for a number of projects I'm on. And SMS vs. Hangouts vs. Telegram vs. FB-Messenger too :/ *hug*
