It’s mostly because they don’t know how to make delicious curry here

They do know how to make exceedingly large plates of food though. So you're doing well. I've lost a similar amount over the past six or seven weeks too. Twinsies!

As I get fitter and lighter, my β€œearn” from the fitbit will go down as my heart rate stays lower during exertion.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to when my ride to work isn't as many useful calories :(

I should weigh nyself and see just how far I've let myself slide.

I've just bought a Garmin Index Scale so that I can get more useful metrics more regularly. I've only been weighing myself every week or two currently.

IME one of the most important things to keep on top of in a diet is sanity. Don’t weigh in too often, as weight can naturally fluctuate over the week, but all you’ll see is a number which isn’t always going in the right direction.

I find the daily fluctuations easier to cope with - makes each individual measurement less of a big deal (but I can totally see how it’d work the opposite way for other people).

I can well see that measuring more often sorts out the fluctuations better. E.g. I had three weeks where I apparently lost no weight, I imagine because the particular measurements happened to hit lows at the start and highs at the end, meaning the measurements were the same.
