We need to update our download page, but here's the official release of the Minecraft launcher on linux. There's still some issues but we'll work them out asap :)

If you want some assistance with making the Debian/ubuntu packages a bit less crunchy, Microsoft have some Debian developers, or I could be persuaded to help :-)
