Goodness no. I want a car, not a fancy computer with bad casework, on wheels.

It was reaching the time for replacing it, and I wanted something fancier. I wasn't expecting to spend quite that much :D

So long as your filesystem doesn't automatically work that out and poke holes in it you'll be fine :D

Something from the beforetimes when humans were permitted to come into contact with one another non-virtually. It sounds abhorrent these days, but it used to be a thing. I am a product of my time :(

I remember deliberately going out to the airport *just* to ride the maglev. What a day out that was.
Fun fact! Birmingham Airport was home to the first commercial Maglev transport system in the world. Everyone looks very pleased about it, don't they

A story in three tweets... Recently we've had an intermittent CI failure on rustup I started with "okay so the failure is in the SOCKS proxy checker and since SOCKS operates on IP addresses, it can't be the DNS" 1/3

I'm not *certain* because I've not looked in a while, but my understanding is that our bonus is a certain amount of money paid to the referrer when the referent passes their probation period check. The exact numbers and timings are not to hand.
Effectively the 'Pete Fotheringham memorial corner' is in the new office next to a standing desk where we can swear quietly to honour our memories of you :D

afaict that doesn't appear to windows apps as a removable drive though It's okay, I ended up sticking fake USB driver on, downloading to that, and now wsl2 is happily rsyncing the content over my network to a server with the USB stick in the front. All in the name of 'ease'
Dear @jaguaruk I want to download my map update, but I can't because I don't have a spare FAT32 formatted USB stick to hand. My iPace happily reads ext4 but Windows10 doesn't - How do I square this circle and get my map update without buying more USB sticks?
