Sounds good. I'm focussed on sandwich loaves, so making them yeasted, though the sourdough does rise nicely I'm wanting a close crumb which is harder (though not impossible) to do with pure sourdough.
Today's adventures in sourdough feature granary flour and wholewheat to produce what will hopefully be a sandwich loaf which is rich, complex, and nutty. I think I shall call it Hank Scorpio
imo no. Or should be possible to build in isolation. If you need deps like that, they should come from crates I think. And rule applies to build.rs too.
Not great at carrying butter which I put down to the top not being porous enough. pull the top off and the inside is excellent texture for butter. Takes marmite wonderfully. Flavour is more complex than store bought, interior fluffier, outside firmer.
I'm trying my best not to buy that much flour because I will just eat it all. I think I have about 5 or 6 kg left in stock, and hope that'll outlast confinement (though I suppose I use at a rate of 1.5kg/week so perhaps not)
I'd guess that discs which are cheaper may be less even thickness which will lead to imbalances when spun at the sorts of speeds ripping can occur at, making noises.
