In mutt, I use `auto_view 'text/html'` and then ensure that the default for that is set to use w3m -dump

I still use vim and emacs, but I use vscode for JavaScript and Rust development.

Apart from it not being emacs/vim, I have to say that I think vscode is very good.

I wouldn't be using Word for that kind of thing, I agree. I guess it has been sufficiently long since I had to do big mathsy things that I've forgotten how :-)

In my experience, sweng courses are all about learning to pass the exam rather than learning much of use in future work
