The decision is usually weighted based on what the interchange points are like. If one is nicer than another, or the transfer times differ, then those factors weigh more than you might think. If one option puts a transfer around a mealtime and is long enough - bonza!
We also need to learn that what we think is working at 100% is usually taking from us at 120% because we never account for the little things.

Please do. The current layout works very well for someone like me, the screenshot you showed would make it nearly impossible for me to work out which contact is which, especially when they share given names.
