Philosophy & Ethics, in-person communiation techniques, remote communication techniques, respect, and a desire to better themselves. That'd go a long way to stopping most of the issues I have with modern graduates.

Dear Lazyweb, I currently have (and love) a Pebble Time. Sadly it's not helpful for Strava since support has ended. What make/model of wristwear do you use with Strava and does it support notifications, simple responses, etc like a Pebble does? Ta, D.

I mean, something C-like but better. After decades with the language, I dislike C's features almost as much as I love them. I'd far rather there be something like Rust available more widely.

100% agree with this. I like to start people with a scripting language, and only once they're comfortable instructing a computer, move on to something "harder". Then again, I also think that teaching C/C++ to someone with < 5 years experience should be punishable by spanking.

I've used lulu.com before, for making small-run manuals for software. They're usually quite good.
