Frankly, given GDPR, I'm amazed you haven't sent me a "Due to GDPR we need you to reconfirm you want to be marketed at, please do X to acknowledge that you want us to keep irritating you with crap you never asked for" email.

If I were honestly trying to cheat you into not marketing at someone other than me, I cannot imagine a single human in the whole world who wouldn't be grateful for that. As it stands, there's plenty of ways to double-check the email address without me calling.

Given you can see my email address in the screenshot, how about you just fix it for me (i.e. zero marketing mails EVER) and I don't have to deal with a horrible phone system?

I find, when writing these kinds of data structure manipulators, that a good approach is after writing it, try to break it. Testing isn't just about showing it works, but also showing that it doesn't not work, if you see what I mean :-)
