@resiak Aaah like the spreadsheets of projects-of-old which contained "valgrind: command not found" followed by "PASS".
@larswirzenius a talk about moving large amounts of data around, complex on disk data structures, x/plat FS quirks... would be interesting.

@vtothepowerof2 The moving company we used supplied super-strong boxes as part of the service. Weeks ahead of the move.

@EliteDangerous The link to the ins/outs of defence seems broken. I "don't have permission to view" the thread :(

@mart_brooks And He said "Lo, let your children, and your children's children, learn to cheat at cards", and it was good. Jacob 13:3.

@frabcus @shevski An easier way to allow people to run their own git servers would help. I believe there's a Go monstrosity for this.

@frabcus @shevski I'm definitely interested in anything to prevent the mass "well no work today" every time github goes down.

@frabcus @shevski Hrm, metadata you have a point -- as for 'it all ends up in gmail' well, I suppose that means git needs decentralising too

@pwaring Aah, yeah, transitioning into a VCS will always have bits which bite you. (fnar)

@sassquad yeah. It's a toughie. With f/loss one hopes that a bounty is not required. If any of the core deus needed bounty motivation... :-(

@pwaring oddly I like git's approach. Encourages one to have good build scripts and not run crap directly out of revision control.

@sassquad @rougol "bring up to date" isn't the thing, it's "be around to maintain and handle bug reports etc" -- Noone has stepped up.

@sassquad @rougol sadly, with nobody stepping up to help look after our riscos frontend, we are kinda stuck.
