@dickontoo The PC says "New device detected" but it never enumerates. It has changed screen once or twice over the day.
It lights when powered, but still doesn't actually *do* anything. Terrified it's broken as I have a 14h flight on Monday.

My kindle won't operate. I've tried all the usual 5/10/15/20/30/50/90 second reset sequences. No light, no reaction.

@ramcq I am very pleased with my X201, so I imagine a properly specced X220 would be lovely. Dock battery behaviour is poor though.

@c_boyle I use awesomewm, but I've heavily customised it now. I was fed up with GNOME shifting under my feet.
Worse than a UDI: a 'being tired' injury which makes you feel stupid every time you remember it, and reminds you about itself every 5 mins.
@diodesign It's well worth it; esp. if you then alloc a page at that location and trap accesses to it, launching the debugger
@diodesign This is why a free() which poisons is a good thing. When all your pointers turn into 0xDEADBEEF it's pretty obvious what's up.
