I just released a new version of crates.io/crates/git-testame⦠which is my @rustlang crate for embedding git information into your binaries. Now we have static testament strings for no-std situations (and others).
Recently I merged snapcraft support into rustup's CI. This is part of an effort to make it possible to `snap install --classic rustup` to get a @rustlang environment going via `snap` rather than `curl | bash`.
Brave? Try experimenting with `snap install --classic --edge rustup`
Every time I merge to `master` of `rustup` there'll be a new edge snap published automatically. Once we're satisfied with its behaviour more generally, officially released `rustup`s will end up on the `stable` snap channel.

Happy Wank Holiday Weekend! π¦
Self love and wanking your way through lockdown is the best way to slow the spread of coronavirus and protect our NHS.
So... will you take our Pleasure Pledge?
TTOTD: When your body-battery score has been below 50% for over a week, don't go "wahey, it's 52% I'll run a half marathon today" -- I hurt and I had to walk from 20km :(
With thanks to @oli_obk and much combination trepidation/joy, I have just pushed 0.8.0 of the @rustlang pandoc crate to crates.io. One or two quality of life changes, will need a bit of care around OutputKind::File when updating, otherwise you should be fine.
Right, rewritten the offensive bit of code.
(And yes, I did mean offensive, not just offending :/)
Now to run the full test suite and find out which tests should not be passing...
Is it too late for new-years resolutions? If not, I hereby resolve to try harder to not gut-react to things, and to do more deleting of the first one or five responses I write to things which make me emotional in any way.
Today's adventures in sourdough feature granary flour and wholewheat to produce what will hopefully be a sandwich loaf which is rich, complex, and nutty. I think I shall call it Hank Scorpio
Welp that's that. Over a hundred miles run this month. Next month I'm taking it easier to deload and recover. Thanks @petefothx for being such a amazing virtual running partner!
This was my first foray into writing GoLang and the maintainer of Lego was really accomodating and helpful. I don't think I'll make a habit of writing in GoLang, but it was an interesting break from Rust.
