Have a look at the Total Deliveries column for the number that each carrier has today (which is generally a small portion of the orders, given how few have been built so far).

Lots of traffic for this @MotherJones scoop. Hard to figure out why. A massage parlor owner selling access to @realDonaldTrump at Mar-a-Lago? Seems pretty routine. motherjones.com/politics/201…

My latest story is now online about Yemenite Children Affair in Israel. I interviewed families that believe babies were abducted by the Israeli authorities in the 1950s, and were illegally put up for adoption to childless Ashkenazi families. nytimes.com/2019/02/20/world…

Throwing out this Belkin power strip because I discovered that it uses 0.6W when nothing is plugged in to it. (All my other power strips use a small enough amount that my meter rounds it to 0.)

Need to be a bit careful with "works" as some of these are better than others at responding to different devices, sizes, and user settings that the developer may not have tested with. (I think grid and flex are probably best and positioning worst.)

Did your tests (for the patch that landed) ever end up landing?

From where you live, to your recourse if you're gravely injured -- the law is on the side of drivers, not pedestrians. Law professor @greg_shill says usa.streetsblog.org/2019/03/…

I feel like FRA always has large volume of US-India connecting traffic. I guess it's only 16% additional distance, from gcmap.com/mapui?P=BOM-SFO,BO…

Yeah, I guess it's hard to schedule any of those hubs so the flight times work well for origin+destination traffic *and* for a decent through connection to India. A schedule that might work for the US side is what Cathay does for SFO-HKG, with flights every ~12 hours.

I guess that's the disadvantage of going via the East coast? I don't understand why the East Asian hubs (ICN, HKG, PEK, PVG, TPE, NRT, KIX, etc.) don't try to take more India-US traffic. Do you?

That risks having the problem Obama had with the stimulus -- what if it happens, but prices are still rising? People would take that as evidence that building more housing doesn't help. He needs to ask for the number that will actually address the problem. (Hope it's right!)

Wow, yeah: ages of Presidents of Harvard since Eliot (assuming July 1 transitions): Eliot, age 35 to 75 Lowell, 52 to 76 Conant, 40 to 60 Pusey, 46 to 64 Bok, 41 to 61 Rudenstine, 56 to 66 Summers, 46 to 51 Bok (acting), 76 to 77 Faust, 59 to 70 Bacow, 66 to present

The story isn't quite that good: the Maybell homes were entitled in 2018 but not permitted. (Yes, things move that slowly...) 10 of the 12 homes permitted in 2018 were, however, a single project at California Avenue / Bowdoin St / Amherst St.

Palo Alto issued building permits in 2018 for: * 12 single family homes * 3 duplexes (= 6 units) * 36 ADUs for a total of 54 housing units. That was enough to stay above target for its above-moderate income RHNA allocation. Source: cityofpaloalto.org/civicax/f… pages 111,112,117

I wish @IRCCloud (enterprise) had a different favicon when it was showing the login prompt so that I'd know that I needed to sign in, rather than just missing IRC messages...

Though nitter.vloup.ch/alfred_twu/statu… (and rest of thread) makes Hong Kong seem a little less appealing. (I'm still a fan of Paris and Taipei.)

Highrise zoning (40+ floors) in Singapore, Hong Kong, San Francisco, New York, and Miami. The US cities are denser, with floor area ratios of 10-20, vs 8-10 in Singapore/HK (though bedroom density is similar due to larger rooms in the US). Details of each city in thread. 7/

New from me: Fox News HAD the story of Trump's hush money payoffs to Stormy Daniels BEFORE the election but killed it because the reporter said she was told, "Good reporting Kiddo, but Rupert Murdoch wants Donald Trump to win. So set it aside." Reporter sued, is bound by an NDA.
