There's now a second open position on the Layout team at @mozilla. This one's a less-senior position, so a good fit for recent graduates. The layout team works on CSS, layout, fonts & text, animation, printing, etc. in @firefox. careers.mozilla.org/position… (Portland, Oregon)

At least San Francisco allows all roof decks to count towards required Usable Open Space (based on Planning Code section 135). In Palo Alto, council decided that roof decks on the second floor don't count; others do. Thus non-balcony open space can be on any floor other than 2.

Media: Next time @KenCuccinelli @USCISCuccinelli spews "Statue of Liberty phrase meant only Europeans" lie, hit him with this: The sonnet by Emma Lazarus that appears on the statue specifically states our beacon is shining a "world-wide welcome." That is not "White folks only."

Yeah, but the text in the screenshot says West rather than East.
Do they mean 85N 120E (not W), or was the Lena River delta reference wrong?

I think having the Arabic web page offer the Arabic browser is the right default. It should be clearer that the download being offered is platform- and language-specific. (Used to be better.) Also worth understanding why you ended up on Arabic web page if that wasn't desired.

Sketchy as shit. That any inmate who’d tried to kill themselves before is not on suicide watch is appalling. But in this case if it prevents him and others to be brought to justice and the victims to be heard—a total travesty. Cui bono? A lot of rich men, Trump included.
Breaking News: Jeffrey Epstein was not under suicide watch when he took his own life. Attorney General William Barr said the death “raises serious questions.” nyti.ms/2yNrJMl

Distribution of Firefox localizations on desktop platforms is primarily a download-time thing. A given download contains only one language. There's some support for installing more and switching between them, but it's not designed to be the primary path for users.

Slowing a car from 40 mph to 20 mph for the last leg of an commute adds about one minute per downtown mile. But that speed decrease makes the injuries to a pedestrian more like falling from the second floor of a building instead of the seventh floor. citylab.com/transportation/2…

I think it's been at least a month or so since Twitter switched me from "Latest Tweets" to "Home". Used to be every few days. It's good when they fix things that people are complaining about.

Yeah, lounges can certainly make an airport pretty different. United status won't get me in to an Air France lounge. But even the nice-ish Lufthansa lounge doesn't make me like FRA. Best lounges I've been in were in East Asia catering mostly to locals (e.g., TSA, WUH).
My major European hub rankings are probably MUC > AMS > LHR > FRA > CDG.
