Solution: go to 99 Ranch (or other Chinese grocery) with mask, join everybody in the store in judging the one guy in the store without a mask. Also, last I checked, Stanford hospital didn't want expired masks or opened containers. Mine are *very* expired. (& only a few left)

So, really, it was too hard to do without help, and I should have given the monarchs hint sooner

I'm also a little impressed that you and @xgolferx figured it out. Thought maybe too hard. I'd planned a hint about how building the same list based on the list of British Monarchs since the Acts of Union 1707 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o… would include all except for George VI.

If I imagined the answer to "what would Bill Clinton say about COVID-19", this is it. Except, of course, he said it better.
As the numbers continue to rise, we can never forget that there are real people, each with their own lives, stories, families, and friends behind every statistic. My heart is with all those who have lost someone to COVID-19, are fighting the virus, or know someone who is.

that said, I worked it out by myself this morning before posting, and didn't find that until you mentioned Googling

for me the third hit for "Washington Adams Grant Roosevelt Hoover Nixon" is washingtonexaminer.com/six-p… which pretty much has the answer right there

It would be fascinating to know who any of my ancestors 12 generations back were! (That said, my dad has a Wikipedia page. I don't know of any other ancestors who do.)

Or maybe read the newspaper article that the thread was copy/pasted from?
“We are witnessing in the United States one of the greatest failures of basic governance and basic leadership in modern times” theguardian.com/us-news/2020…

Indeed. This was inspired by seeing something on Twitter this morning about how the set of living ex-presidents ought to do something related to COVID-19.

Well, it is Herbert Clark Hoover, but that doesn't work for Theodore Roosevelt.

(Also, Theodore Roosevelt apparently had no middle name, so didn't have one.)

You've heard of Barack Obama, right?

It's not related to military service.

The pollen was pretty bad a week ago when the PM2.5 level was 0, so I don't think so...
Why has the Bay Area's air quality been getting worse all day today? (It had been really good for most of the last few weeks...) purpleair.com/map?opt=1/m/i/…
