When I wrote that 12 hours ago I was expecting TD 22 to become Wilfred... but the tropical wave in the eastern tropical Atlantic beat it to that. So now there are decent odds we'll have TS Alpha today (as TD 22 strengthens).

I'd also point out that Twitter's label is much more effective than what Facebook has done. The FB labels almost seemed to co-sign the misinformation. Twitter's label clearly says "voting by mail is safe and secure" — directly rejecting Trump's lie and affirming the truth. (2/2)

San Francisco Bay area air quality looks pretty good right now.
However, I'd say leaving the windows open overnight looks like a pretty risky move.
Not a guaranteed disaster move, but pretty risky.

🚨Judge Xinis becomes the first federal judge to find that putative Acting DHS Secretary Wolf was likely appointed unlawfully, BUT limits her injunction against the asylum EAD rule *only* to members of the plaintiff organizations—meaning it remains in place for everyone else.
Last night: A Md. federal judge ruled Chad Wolf was likely illegally appointed as acting @DHSgov secretary under the department's succession rules, partially blocking policies making it harder for asylum-seekers to get work permits.
