Some of us are old enough to recognize that this was the 1996 Democratic convention before we see the "96" in the corner of the screen. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macare…

Stellar example of effective science communication from @JamesEKHildreth who clearly but matter-of-factly explains a latest key paper on aerosol transmission, and why, by itself, distance isn't all protective indoors—especially in low ventilation settings.
1. Dr. James Hildreth, CEO of Meharry Hospital and adviser to Nashville Mayor John Cooper, makes a powerful statement about schools and airborne transmission. A MUST WATCH example of excellent public health communication about #COVID19 Part 1 of 3

This new ad featuring former @DHSgov Chief of Staff under Trump is a bombshell: he claims @realDonaldTrump ordered the feds to cut off aid to Californians during wildfires, because CA voters didn't support him.
NEW: Testimonial ad from Trump's Former DHS Chief of Staff @MilesTaylorUSA, declaring his support for Joe Biden and describing Trump's presidency as "terrifying" and "actively doing damage to our security." WATCH & go to RVAT.org for more.

I'd say 1918, based on the use of "inspected", "physicians", "prevalent", and "grown persons".

There may be legal restrictions on how you're allowed to return ballots. My memory of the California ones is that you can either mail it, deliver it in person, or sign an extra form saying you're allowing another named person to deliver it in person, or something like that.

Paging all lawyers who want to prevent Trump’s postal coup: Forget DOJ. All states have laws against election interference. Because mail-in ballots include candidates for state office, AGs and DAs have standing to bring criminal cases against USPS. Start with PA, WI and MI.

My local post office is from 1932 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United… Even has a trompe-l'œil window on the side (my photo, February 2019).

And the record-breaking Atlantic hurricane season continues: "Josephine is the earliest tenth tropical storm of record in the Atlantic, with the next earliest tenth storm being Tropical Storm Jose on August 22, 2005."

Ok, sounds like my impression of how much the focus changed was a bit off.

That statement about Servo seemed more true before Servo work shifted to focus on XR than after. Though I still think there was plenty of interesting Gecko work done in Gecko -- probably depends on what you find interesting.

Yeah, that checks out based on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o… though there were six candidates even with Texas: Texas (Garner, L. B. Johnson, Bentsen) Nebraska (W. J. Bryan, C. W. Bryan) South Dakota (McGovern)
Some trivia stuck in my head: @JoeBiden is campaigning to be: - the second Catholic President (after Kennedy) - the second President born in Pennsylvania (after Buchanan) - the second Vice President to become President with a gap in time between the jobs (after Nixon)

Management everywhere has made a bunch of bad decisions. Some other companies have market and financial advantages that provide much more of a cushion to recover from those mistakes.

BTW, I just noticed the permission requested in bugzil.la/1620879 was granted, so that should be able to proceed if revised appropriately.

"Trump Considers Ordering Post Office Not to Deliver Ballots" feels like something that should get a little more attention.
NEW: Last week, aides and advisers began pondering possible executive actions Trump could take to curb mail-in voting — everything from directing the postal service to not deliver certain ballots to stopping local officials from counting them politi.co/3koknFu

“Middlename” field left blank because you don't have a middlename? No address for your dad b/c he's dead? No siblings listed because you’re an only child? Sorry, your immigration applications have all been rejected USCIS's Kafkaesque "no blanks" policy washingtonpost.com/opinions/…
