The amount of upfront work and upkeep needed to distribute something as open source nowadays has reached a point where it is not sustainable long term as a individual. Since when was a dedicated domain, website, 24/7 support, free patch expediting expected from FOSS?

I'm guessing it would be obvious for people smart enough to care. Since I hit the character limit - maybe a blog post is better suited for this.
