Yet the Republican party has included, in their coalition, rich people who want to pay less tax, and who thus want less government. (3/7)

They've succeeded in convincing the other parts of the Republican coalition, and many Americans, that government is evil. (4/7)

But government isn't evil. Our government is us, acting together. It's as good as we are. Government can and should help people. (5/7)

A good government is can also see and act on the big picture, e.g., by encouraging development to move to places that don't flood. (6/7)
