Also, no understanding about how many people are on terrible shared hosts. Hosts that won’t update EOL’d PHP. Never mind do free certs.

I understand why https is important. But it’s HARD to manage a certificate. Hard to set it up. Hard to keep it working. We need to fix this.

Have to balance against other factors, but there should be incentives to move away from hosts you admit are terrible.

a lot of designers are told who to use by their client. Don’t have confidence to challenge that.

as the co-founder of a PHP CMS I would love it if all the terrible hosts went away. We spend a lot of time dealing with them.
