Do these high-pressure tactics work? They seem counterproductive, but enough companies do them that I wonder if I'm missing something.

Fuck Uber. The idea of being able to summon a ride with a smartphone app is cool. Everything else about them sucks.

The pricing model is also better than taxis; how it considers time is fairer and doesn't lead to crazy driving.
