Dumb SVG question: what's SVG text font-size in viewport units relative to? I'm confused. This is 100vmin (line 55) codepen.io/thebabydino/pen/7…

@anatudor It depends how you include it. It inherits the page one when used inline, but uses its own in an img/iframe/etc.

@anatudor @FremyCompany Is the SVG in its own document in an iframe (with the iframe's viewport) or is it inline SVG within the HTML?

@davidbaron @FremyCompany Inline! I always do inline... it's easy to forget there are other ways when I don't even really see their point...

Replying to @anatudor
@anatudor @FremyCompany So it should use the viewport of the outer document... and then if the SVG has a viewBox, scale by its scale!

@anatudor @FremyCompany oops, *scaled* by its scale. Anyway, sometimes you just want the VG without the S. If so, don't use viewBox.

@davidbaron @FremyCompany I want the distances to scale, but not text or marker sizes. Something like non-scaling-stroke for those too...
