South Carolina in 11 days for GOP. Questions: 1) can they hurt Trump at all? 2) who comes in #2? Cruz? Jeb!?

@johnolilly 3) Can a potentially viable candidate be talked into dropping out before SC, for the good of the party/nation?
1
@davidbaron right. But. Which? Who do they rally behind? Pretty big mess.

@johnolilly @davidbaron seems obvious for the establishment to expect Christie to drop, potentially Rubio too if he comes in fifth in NH.
1
@khuey_ @johnolilly I don't think Christie makes a difference; needs to be one of Bush / Rubio / Kasich.
1
@davidbaron @khuey_ right. Christie good as attack dog, but not meaningful swing. Christie clearly damaged Rubio.

@johnolilly @khuey_ Christie probably won't make SC debate. Likely Trump-Bush-Rubio-Cruz-Carson-Kasich.

@davidbaron @johnolilly hard to see how you play that. Kasich and Bush finished well in NH, so Rubio is the only potential drop.
