@glazou change it to what instead? IIRC, we got to this syntax to not break existing 2.1 parsers. FWIW, I agree it's ugly.

@junglecode @glazou I agree it's ugly, but disagree w/ making implementors redo impl/tests--unless they too hate it enough to wish for that!
