So today's demo is laggy in Firefox and IE :( codepen.io/thebabydino/pen/Yโฆ - does anyone have any clue why and how to fix it?

@thebabydino Drawing the tails requires 45 * 32 loops of the big calculation loop for each screen redraw. This is expensive.

@VeganBen Obviously. But there must be some way I can optimize things without sacrificing the aspect further. I already gave up having...

@VeganBen ... each at a different opacity just to get the fill out of the inner loop. I know actually drawing (fills & strokes) is costly.

@thebabydino In Firefox, it seems slightly faster with the fill in the inner loop, actually. (Really complex fill can be expensive.)
