Worst thing about US units? The huge gaps, filled with ambiguous measures like “width of a human hair” and “length of a football field”.

@jruderman It's not like anyone uses the full range of SI units anyway, it's mostly mm, cm, m, km.

@TedMielczarek @jruderman And then units like kWh when there are standard SI units available. 1kWh = 3.6MJ.
