box-shadow as a CSS feature sounds nice, but doesn't work because everybody wants a different sort of shadow.

@davidbaron I absolutely agree. It was ok at the time it was implemented/specified though.

@davidbaron People were happy with it at this time… then realized that it is not sufficient for a lot of use cases.

@dirkschulze Only because the WG added a feature without proper justification, because our process defaults to accepting WG member features.

@davidbaron What do you suggest? Deprecating it in CSS BG&B? CSS3 BG&B is no recommendation yet. So it would not be to late.
