@asadotzler @davidbaron Seems to me, they only matter insofar as they give you a feel for what the party apparatchiks manage to agree on.

@bz_moz @asadotzler I think they matter in terms of what the winners can claim a mandate to do. Maybe less important in post-truth politics.
