@davidbaron w3.org/TR/CSS2/tables.html#a… I didn't read your rendering code though. I meant calculating the minimum and maximum width for each cell.

@RobbertAtWork dbaron.org/css/intrinsic/ and dev.w3.org/csswg/css3-tables… have a lot more detail about tables, though need merging and fixing.
