I seem to recall Firefox computes '1ex' by rendering a lowercase ‘x’ and counting pixels. True? Anyone else? (Besides IE5/Mac, I mean.)

@meyerweb We do have 'x' measuring code for some platforms (maybe even all but Mac; not all cases though), though 'o' would be better
