This would be amazing. Would the consent dialog for this bypass the tab/window selector since the target is known?

One could argue that it doesn't need consent at all, if it omits cross origin iframes, since it's all information the site could get more easily by reading the DOM.

Guess you could say the same about font antialiasing (although maybe some elements of that also change layout)

I suspect that (like many fingerprinting aspects of text rendering) is already exposed through 2D canvas.
