Americans as tourists travel to places like this and dream they had this tram back home but won't take car lanes out for pedestrians and transit like here nor build the density in the foreground to support transit's ridership.

I suspect most American tourists never get to parts of Paris like that (maps.app.goo.gl/jrzecXhJWNMF… ), although they're more likely to see transit and buildings that look like that in other cities like Berlin...
