These lots are about a half-mile from Caltrain, so naturally, people (including council members) will flip the fuck out

I should note that Palo Alto councilmembers have *zero* problem with people tearing down tri and fourplexes and replacing them with McMansions, so it should be incredibly entertaining to see what happens when someone tries the opposite

At least that's illegal in RM-20/RM-30/RM-40 if it violates the minimum unit density (see codelibrary.amlegal.com/code… Table 2, including footnote 8). (This was from the 2018 Housing Work Plan ordinance, passed by council on 2019-04-01.)
