Did they ever extend the U1 in Berlin to connect to the main trunk lines at both ends?

The east end connects to a roughly-parallel S-Bahn line at Warschauer Straße; the west end is unconnected but I think any sensible extension would be more than one stop.

I don't think it'll be extended to Kunyang since the new (partially opened) Circular Line is set to connect Songshan to Yongchun. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circul… www-ws.gov.taipei/Download.a…
