It would be fascinating to know who any of my ancestors 12 generations back were! (That said, my dad has a Wikipedia page. I don't know of any other ancestors who do.)

I misremembered slightly -- after getting home and double-checking, Jean Lemire is my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather. So only 10 generations away. For some reason, his descendants in particular are very well catalogued.
