I've heard that this is going to take the record for the world's longest domestic flight (9765mi, 8485nmi, 15715km). This will, if I'm reading chart correctly, limit payload on the 787-9 to around 2/3rds of max.

That's a very inconvenient departure time. I guess they want to allow connections at both ends? Presumably nearly time to update en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longes… , at least with a better source (which I can't find)...

It's a one-off replacement for TN08 (PPT-LAX-CDG) due to CORVID-19 restrictions in the US. Looking at the times, my guess is TN64 is scheduled to land at the start of the CDG slot they have for TN08 (about an hour earlier) but after CDG night-time restrictions.

OK, that makes a bit more sense. Does it get to go on Wikipedia's list? :-/

Note that PPT-LAX-CDG is already there as one of the longest flights (albeit with a stop); don't think a one-off commercial flight counts in that chart? Maybe in the "record flights" section? idk.

That said, I think PPT-PTP-CDG should make that list, as its total sector distance is longer than via LAX (and is the longer term solution as long as domestic travel is allowed) and will be an ongoing service?
