The white areas are > 50". Parts of the Chugach Mountains receive up to 2,000" annually.

Granted, I cherry picked this point forecast at high elevation and in the middle of the +50 band, but these short term accumulations and winds are absurd

Not a chance. There are a few snow measurements at places like Wolverine Glacier and some NRCS Snotel stations.
