Not sure how representative it was, but the last time I *thought* about getting a taxi at JFK, the line for cabs looked like it was at least an hour long.
(I think it was Monday, June 15, 2015, around 10:30pm, after arriving on Delta 468 from SFO.)
I took the E train instead.
Uber has broken everyone's brains to the point that so many people have straight-up forgotten that yellow cabs from JFK to Manhattan are a flat-fare $52 ride.
