I do want to set expectations though. There are really good reasons to avoid multipass rendering. So it might not be possible.

Don't (most) tables, flexbox and grids already require multiple layout passes today? I think it's more about avoiding endless loops which the ResizeObserver does not run into due to its nature of always handing off subsequent work to the next layout pass.

I heard rumors behind doors that @davidbaron might have been picking up this topic to rethink it. But... rumors.
